Sarah Cooper is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and currently is employed with Region Ten Community Services Board, coordinating intensive wraparound teams for children struggling with significant mental health issues.
Sarah has worked with children and their families for over 20 years, and has vast experience working with non-profit organizations both as a staff person and as a volunteer. She is a graduate of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence Board Development Academy and served as a Board Member for Literacy Volunteers of Charlottesville/Albemarle.
Sarah was a Family Support Supervisor for Jefferson Area Children’s Health Improvement Program for over 5 years and managed all aspects of that program over a period of significant growth.
On a personal note, Sarah lives with her husband and two children in Charlottesville. Her oldest child was one of Alyssa’s first playmates, making involvement in The Alyssa House a labor of love.
